LES SURVIVANTES
Bordeaux blanc sec

cuvée Les Survivantes bordeaux blanc sec du Château de Fontenille

1956, you may not remember but it was amemorably cold month; February was the coldest month on record since 1900. The frost decimated all the Bordeaux vines… except for a few rare vines, including our Semillon vines, which we look afterwith all our attention. Blended with some white andgrey wines, carefully matured by 3 coopers, they have the taste of the triumph of life.. They have so much to tell with precision and frankness They quench your thirst with elegance.

A clear yellow gold colour, with a fresh and delicate oak nose. A very elegant expression with soft and mineral notes.

A superb balance of softness and promising acidity… with a persistent and spicy finale. Ideal to share with friends for the apéritif. This wine is great with fish in sauce, poultry, cheeses, sushis, scallops or even with a salmon carpaccio. Decant before serving, it allows the wine to develop and settle.
